Where we’re at
The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) is in the early stages of mapping the information architecture (IA) for the new Digital.govt.nz website, and we’d love your feedback.
Next Friday 29 September, the Digital.govt.nz team is running a user testing workshop from 1:30-3:30 pm make sure we are covering different users’ needs and that we have a clear understanding of common problems, and common tasks that you are trying to complete.
We want to hear your stories of what does or doesn’t work for you on ict.govt.nz or the WebToolkit.govt.nz so we can build something better. And we’ll share the draft IA to get your thoughts about that.
We’ll also do some exercises on grouping and labelling topics — should we call it ‘common capabilities’ or 'procurement arrangements'’? — so that what you need is easy to find. Then we will test the outcomes to make sure you can find specific pieces of information in the recommended structure.
If you’ve got time to come along to the user session, please let us know.
If you can’t make it next Friday but think you’d like to participate later, please complete this Digital.govt.nz User Testing Expression of Interest. We will be in touch as we need participants for different stages of the research.
Digital.govt.nz aims to be an all-of-government, online source of information, tools and services to support digital transformation in the public sector.
