Hon Dr Megan Woods is the Government Digital Services Minister. This portfolio was created in 2017.
This role oversees the development and management of digital for the state sector. Paul James is the GCDO, and also the Chief Executive (CE) of the Department of Internal Affairs.
This is a partnership of stakeholders from agencies across government to support the goal of a coherent, all-of-government digital system.
This role supports the use of data as a resource across government to help deliver better services to New Zealanders. It’s held by the Chief Executive of Stats NZ Liz MacPherson.
The Open Government Partnership is an international initiative where signatory countries work to be more open, accountable and responsive to citizens. Using new technologies is a part of this.
Adopting the charter reinforces NZ's commitment to open data. It gives government agencies a set of principles and actions for accelerating the release of open government data.
The Digital 9, or D9, is a network of the world’s most advanced digital nations with a shared goal of harnessing digital technology and new ways of working to improve citizens' lives.
This working party for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is made up of senior digital government officials.
