Name server hosting and access to the domain name management portal are available at no cost to New Zealand government agencies.
You won’t be charged for the following services:
- domain name server hosting
- access to the domain name management portal
- help and advice regarding the portal during business hours.
Making DNS changes
If your agency has access to the DNS management portal, you can make your own changes 24/7.
Get in touch with the DNS service if your agency hasn't already signed up.
8am to 5pm on business days.
Liverton Security, who manage the government domain name system (DNS) platform, can help you use the portal and give you advice on making DNS changes.
There is no charge for this during business hours.
When charges apply
If you need urgent support or manual changes made outside business hours, Liverton Security will charge your organisation directly:
- hourly rate: $145
- fixed rate: $12 for each change.
